Normalment el gust de la xocolata ve determinat pel percentatge de cacau, el país d’origen, la tècnica del xocolater… però l’estudi de disseny Nendo es va voler fixar en un aspecte menys habitual: la forma. I va crear 9 tipus diferents de xocolata amb diverses estructures i textures. El que va ser sorprenent d’aquest projecte és que encara que l’ingredient base era idèntic, el sabor canviava en funció de la forma.

We classify the chocolate according to the cocoa’s country of origin, kind, percentage content, technique of the chocolatier’s, the flavours inside… But there are many factors that determine a chocolate’s taste. And this was the project of the japanese design studio Nendo. Chocolate texture is a collection of nine different types of chocolate made in the same size but in various shapes and textures. The pieces feature pointed tips, smooth and rough exteriors, hollow interiors, and more. The different textures allow for differing tastes even though all the chocolate pieces in the collection are made of the same raw ingredients.
